A gas cylinder is a pressure vessel for storage and containment of gases at above atmospheric pressure. High-pressure gas cylinders are also called bottles.
A typical gas cylinder design is elongated, standing upright on a flattened bottom end, with the valve and fitting at the top for connecting to the receiving apparatus.
In this time and ages, gas cylinders are widely used in the kitchen for cooking, baking and the likes.
Often times, when we exhaust the gas, we detach the gas cylinders for a refill at the gas station.
Being able to detach a gas cylinder well is part of safety precautions.
Here’s how to detach a gas cylinder:
1. Make sure the gas valve hand wheel is turned off (Clockwise).
2. To remove regulator from gas cylinder valve remove regulator from gas, start by turning the regulator hand wheel clockwise (reverse thread).
Be aware and careful, as a small amount of gas remaining in the gas regulator and hose may be released when you remove regulator from gas cylinder valve.

3. Take the empty gas cylinder to your nearest gas station to fill your gas or exchange your gas cylinder.

However, it is a reverse thread so you unscrew clockwise. The gas regulator controls the gas pressure of the gas going from the gas cylinder to the patio heater.
Attached to the gas regulator on one end, with a fitting, and the heater on the other end.
These can become damaged or deteriorate with age.
You should replace it if it shows any signs of being faulty.
It is good practice to replace the entire gas regulator and hose assembly, if it is old enough for the hose to have deteriorated, as gas regulators also wear with age.
