What are Goals?
Goal is an idea of the future or desired result that a person or a group of people envision, plan and commit to achieve__Wikipedia, these are called Life Goals. Life goals are essentially everything you want to do in life before passing on.
Many people feel as if they’re adrift in the world. They work hard, but they don’t seem to get anywhere worthwhile, no results.
A key reason that they feel this way is that they haven’t spent enough time thinking about what they want from life, and haven’t set themselves formal goals.
After all, would you set out on a journey with no idea of your destination? Probably not!
A goal can be a lot of different things. But what a goal is not is a dream, or a hope. I dream of owning my own Car. I hope to take better care of my health.
Those are great and admirable dreams, but they are not goals. I hope to settle down with my beautiful girlfriend, I hope to get the house of my own, all these are not goals
A goal is specific. It’s measurable. Reframing those dreams into goals looks like. I will save #1 Million the next five years and have enough money for payment on a house. Or, I will marry my beautiful girlfriend in 3 months time.
For something to truly be a goal, you need to know when you get there. When you reach it. Those are the kinds of goals that set you up for success.

Having goals for things we want to do and working towards them is an important part of being human.
The path towards our goals may not always run smoothly or be easy, but having goals, whether big or small, is part of what makes life good. It gives us a sense of meaning and purpose, points us in the direction we want to go and gets us interested and engaged, all of which are good for our overall happiness.
Paying attention to how we set our goals makes us more likely to achieve them and achieving them makes us feel good about ourselves and our lives.
Goal setting is a powerful process for thinking about your ideal future, and for motivating yourself to turn your vision of this future into reality.
The process of setting goals helps you choose where you want to go in life. By knowing precisely what you want to achieve, you know where you have to concentrate your efforts. You’ll also quickly spot the distractions that can, so easily, lead you astray.
